247 Chief arrived and reported a garage well off with extension into the house and one person in the window. 264 Engine arrived shortly behind the Chief and assisted the resident who was coming out the window on a ladder thrown by a neighbor. 149 Engine arrived behind 264 and began getting water on the fire while 247 and 102 trucks began searches with no one else found inside. Crews from multiple agencies worked quickly to bring the fire under control within 25 mins. No firefighter injuries occurred during the incident. Nice job to all crews on scene for making a quick stop! We’d also like to thank the Good Samaritan neighbor who’s quick thinking helped complete a rescue. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office.
